Better late than never… Here are some pictures of my last trip in Norway with Cathy.. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
Departure Nov 30th in the morning from Bergen ready to face a 25hours trip by train. 8h to Oslo, then 8 hours to Trondheim and finally 9 hours to Bodo… The famous first 8 hours between Bergen and Oslo are really nice and deserve their reputation.
A short stop in Oslo by the opera enjoying a nice sunset… We won’t see the sun again for the rest of the trip!
Nothing else than train until Bodo…
1st december in the morning, we arrive in Bodo, a snowstorm welcomes us there!
Then, we took the Hurtigruten (ship company used for cruises on the Norwegian west coast in summer) to Stamsund and spent two days in Marinus’ house, our nice Couch Surfing guest in Valberg, Lofoten.
Unfortunately, the weather was really bad during these 2 days in the Lofoten.. Heavy rain and wind force us to stay indoors most of the time. What a shame when you’re in such a beautiful place as the Lofoten are!
Some beautiful landscapes there though, even with the clouds… I defintely have to go there again for skiing.
On the 3rd, we take the Hurtigruten ship again from Svolvear to Tromso. A night later, we arrive in Tromso, which is already dark at 2pm.
The weather is finally nice for our two days there, offering us some good possibilities to chill in the city center and enjoy some nice views. Tromso is really nice and the options for hiking and skiing must be countless in spring and early summer.
